My First Blog Post - Chilliwack SPCA

One of my New Year's resolutions this year was to get more involved in my community. So when I noticed that our local SPCA didn't have any photos of the pets in their care I gave them a call. For the last 2 months I have been going out on a weekly basis and taking photos of the pets that need forever homes. It has been a great experience to get to know the caring staff and of course all the amazing animals who come from a variety of difficult situations.

The dogs I met today were among the best-looking dogs I have photographed. They had lots of personality and were extremely photogenic. The cats are, well, cats. For the most part they were happy to see me but aren't all that interested in posing for pictures. I am learning to go with the flow.

Are you looking to add a new addition to your family? Contact your local SPCA for information on how you can make a difference in the life of an animal. Or, would you like a portrait taken of your favourite pet? Contact me for details.
